BR Series of Professional Driving Simulators

The BR Professional Series of desktop driving simulators are designed for professional use in driver testing, rehabilitation, and research. These simulator models provide high fidelity simulation of all types of ground vehicles including autos, trucks, and bus. A wide variety of driving scenarios is built-in to each simulator as is the ability to collect and record a wide variety of driver performance measurements. The BR Professional Series is powered by STISIMDrive* simulation software which has been in use for more than 20 years. The simulator software allows users to edit built-in or develop new driving scenarios using objects (e.g., vehicles, signage, buildings, roadway marking) provided. The software also allows the configuration of different vehicle types, vehicle performance characterics including steering and powertrain characteristics. A comprehensive help system is also provided for assistance in configuration, scenario development and other issues. BR1000 Simulation Software Only
Simulation software can be purchased separately for those who wish to provide their own driving wheel/pedal set and computer hardware. The same simulation software is included in Models BR1050EX and BR1100EX listed below.
BR1050EX Driving Simulator
The BR1050EX includes the driving simulation software and a steering wheel pedal set. The steering wheel/pedal set is pre-configured for optimal use with the simulation software. See below for more details on the steering wheel/pedal set.
BR1100EX Complete Driving Simulator System
For those not wishing to use their own computer systems, the BR1100 simulator model is available with complete computer systems and all necessary peripherals including monitors and speaker system. These complete system models have the simulator and steering wheel/pedal set software pre-installed and tested.
Steering Wheel and Pedal Set for BR1050EX, BR1100EX Model Driving Simulators
The basic steering wheel and pedal set used in the BR series of driving simulators is the Logitech&trade G27. The G27 ranks among the very best PC-based wheel and pedal sets for realistic, force feedback steering wheel design and pedal control. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is a full 11 inches in diameter and has a full 900 degrees of rotation (2 and 1/2 turns). Pedals are height adjustable to allow for toe/heel style operation.
Turn signaling is provided by paddles to the right and left of the steering wheel and left/right scene through a view control. The scene panning allows end-users to view areas within the scenario to the left and right of the main viewing area on the monitor. A total of fourteen programmable response buttons are available.
The steering wheel unit is detachable from the pedal set and can be easily attached to a desk using the central clamping system. System can be used for either automatic or standard transmissions.
Scenario and Vehicle Development Service
Custom development of driving scenarios and vehicle configurations is also provided for all simulator models. 3D and 2D image development is also available.
